Recording

Recording is the process of capturing a musical performance, played at a certain time, for ever, in a medium that will reproduce it again and again in the future. 

The listener will have the same experience as she/he had the first time around. Or that was mostly the idea initially.

Over time the process and the reason developed, changed to mean also something else too. In hand with the technology of course which helped make the recording process something different, more than a snapshot in time.

Today, recording is something more elaborate and complex with musicians and artists often making music via the internet and often, recording projects can last for months.

Recording :

I have over 10 years of experience recording artists from diverse backgrounds and genres; Classical music, jazz, heavy metal, rock, indie, post rock, electronica, folk, brass bands.

I record either onto 2'' tape if the musicians and label want that analog sound, or straight into Pro Tools. I'm a Pro Tools expert. I can happily record and mix into Cubase or Logic too!
