With more than ten years of experience, recording / mixing / mastering engineer and producer Thom Ntinas is sought-after in the music scene of London where he resides since 2004.
Known for his dedication to the artist and attention to detail, Thom has crafted an uncompromising career and style working especially with new talent, and left-field/experimental artists.
Key ingredients to his methods are a large format console -usually an SSL G+ series- and a 2'' Otari tape machine.
A keen advocate of the analog recording process, his usual preferred method is to record the musicians live, on tape, with as little overdubs and takes as possible.
Then onwards, armed with experience e of years as a musician and producer transfers the songs into the digital realm -mainly preferring Pro Tools, but also Logic and Cubase- where the magic happens! His trickery can transform an acoustic ballad to the most mean piece of electronica imaginable! (if that's what the mix doctor ordered!) With wealth of experience in large format consoles SSL Duality, Neve VR, SSL G+, Euphonix CS3000, Neve V66 in many different commercial studios ( Strongroom Studios, Hackney Road Studios, Sweatshop Studios being some of them) and of course in-depth knowledge of Pro Tools as a trained expert, Thom can tackle any style, genre, and mix quickly, efficiently inside and outside the "box". (i.e the computer)
Thom has also a considerable experience as a live sound engineer in various venues across London and the country.
Having set up gigs from little pubs in Hoxton to big halls in Wales and the Purcell Room in Southbank amongst others; the opening ceremony of the International Expo in Thessaloniki in the NATO headquarters.
